Segment Topic:

    • "By unlawfully unionizing TSA screeners, the TSA has denied these employees the fundamental rights and protections they deserve. TSA employees should be able to hold their union accountable through proper legal channels, but instead, they’ve been left vulnerable to potential abuses without adequate means of recourse." – Chip Rogers
    • "During the Obama administration, the TSA administrator did an abrupt about-face, and TSA moved ahead with allowing screeners to unionize in violation of the law. Multiple administrators of TSA have stated publicly that TSA screeners are not covered by Title V, which includes significant rights for unionized workers—including the ability to file claims of unfair labor practices with an independent board and ultimately vindicate their rights in federal court. TSA screeners have none of these protections." – Dave Dorey, AFFT’s legal counsel

      • Here’s the exclusive report from The Washington Examiner –EXCLUSIVE: New documents show TSA screeners illegally unionized, pro-worker group says
      • AFFT’s legal case forced the TSA to turn over documents revealing that the Obama administration never conducted a legal analysis to justify allowing screeners to unionize under the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE)—despite federal law prohibiting it. Instead, TSA screeners were left vulnerable to a union with a troubling record of corruption and without the worker protections that legally recognized unions provide.
