Show Open:
- Chris Van Hollen: Bring a violent MS-13 gang member “HOME?”
- We have learned much more about Van Hollen’s favorite constituent:
- Maryland man' Kilmar Abrego Garcia exposed in police records as 'violent' repeat wife beater
- Garcia, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with alleged ties to MS-13, was dubbed a 'Maryland man' by Democrats and left-wing media. (Fox News)
- A now-deported illegal alien accused of being an MS-13 gang member that was living illegally in Maryland has a record of being a "violent" repeat wife beater, according to court records filed in a Prince George’s County, Maryland, district court by his wife. (Fox News)
- Fox News obtained the written domestic violence allegations filed in court against 29-year-old Kilmar Abrego Garcia by his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, in 2021. (Fox News)
- In the filing, written in Vasquez’s own handwriting, she alleges Abrego Garcia repeatedly beat her, writing: "At this point, I am afraid to be close to him. I have multiple photos/videos of how violent he can be and all the bruises he [has] left me."
- As the new Trump administration begins to carry out immigration enforcement, Americans largely agree that at least some immigrants living in the United States illegally should be deported, in particular those who have committed violent crimes. Nearly all (97%) support deporting those who have committed violent crimes. (Pew Research Center)

- Taking Easter Seriously:
“That God, which ever lives and loves,
One God, one law, one element,
And one far-off divine event
To which the whole creation moves.”
-- Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892)
- The first was the Stamp Act of 1765, which required colonists to have government stamps on all documents in every household. It was enforced by British agents who used general warrants, issued by a secret court in London, to rummage through colonists’ possessions, ostensibly looking for stamps.
- General warrants -- like those issued by the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in Washington, D.C. -- authorized government agents to search wherever they wished and seize whatever they found.
- The second intolerable act was the Revenue Act of 1767, the proceeds from which the king used to pay the salaries of colonial officials and the king’s clergy, thereby securing their loyalty.
- The Stamp Act assaulted the right to be left alone, and the Revenue Act forced colonists to pay for a religious establishment. These two British laws caused many colonists to realize they needed to secede from Britain and form a new country, in which the government would protect freedom, not assault it. Ten years later, they did so and won the American Revolution.
